Packsize has its roots in robot automation and a special machinery company which delivered advanced industrial machines and complete production plants for production of heating radiators. The radiators are made in a lot of different sizes and need a lot of different sized packaging. Instead of having a lot of different packaging in stock a machine was developed that converted fanfold corrugated board directly in the production line. The first machine was in production 1982 and during the 80s and 90s the packaging machines were developed with more and more automation.
Packsize was founded as Emsize AB in January 1998 to focus on "Right-Sized Packaging on Demand" based on corrugated board, machinery and services. New machines were developed based on robot technology which made them extremly flexible.
The first flexible robotic machine was delivered in the summer of 1999. Systems with high customer value have since then been delivered to customers worldwide.

Emsize provides right-sized packaging on demand, an intelligent solution for companies that need many different box sizes and or types for packaging.
Our robot based machine system has the ability to produce any square box design for an indefinite range of sizes. With Right-Sized Packaging on Demand the corrugated cardboard boxes are manufactured directly at customer production plant. This gives cost reduction in the form of lower purchase cost for corrugated packaging, reduced stock of boxes, less administration and transportation. In addition it offers better protection for the products and flexibility to continuously adapt to varying market and production needs.
Emsize supplies the whole packaging solution consisting of an automatic machine, corrugated cardboard in fanfold format, packaging design and services. Our packaging concept has allowed many companies to cut 20% to 50% of their packaging costs.
